বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনের দায়িত্ব মন্ত্রণালয়ে কমিটি গঠন করা নয়, তাদের দায়িত্ব ক্যাম্পাসে। এমন মন্তব্য করেছেন বিএনপির যুগ্ম মহাসচিব রুহুল কবির রিজভী। মন্ত্রণালয়, জেলা অফিস, ডিসি অফিসে বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্ররা কমিটি গঠন করলে ব্যবসায়ী ও অন্যরা স্বার্থের জন্য ছাত্রদের পেছনে ছুটবে বলেও মনে করেন তিনি। শনিবার (১ ফেব্রুয়ারি) সকালে রাজধানীর নয়াপল্টনের ভাসানী হলে ঠিকানা বাংলাদেশের কেন্দ্রীয় কমিটির পরিচিতি সভায় তিনি এসব কথা বলেন।

কুমিল্লায় আইনশৃঙ্খলা বাহিনীর হেফাজতে থাকা বিএনপি কর্মীর মৃত্যুর ঘটনায় উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করে রিজভী বলেন, দেশে দিন দিন শঙ্কা বাড়ছে। কেউ অন্যায় করলে গ্রেফতার করা হোক। কিন্তু আইনশৃঙ্খলা বাহিনী মেরে ফেলবে কেন? শেখ হাসিনার আমলের মতো বিচার বহির্ভূত হত্যা কেন হবে?

ড. ইউনূসের সরকার নির্বাচিত সরকার না হলেও তাদের প্রতি রাজনৈতিক দল ও এদেশের মানুষের সমর্থন রয়েছে উল্লেখ করে তিনি বলেন, তার (ড. ইউনূস) আমলে শেখ হাসিনার শাসনামলের মতো বিচার বহির্ভূত হত্যাকাণ্ড কোনো অবস্থাতেই কাম্য নয়। তাই অন্তর্বর্তী সরকারকে বিচক্ষণতার সঙ্গে দায়িত্ব পালন করতে হবে।

হাসিনা সরকারের পতন নিয়ে ভারতীয় গণমাধ্যম অপপ্রচার চালাচ্ছে মন্তব্য করে রিজভী বলেন, বাংলাদেশ সেনাবাহিনী দেশের মানুষের পাশে দাঁড়িয়েছে। তাদের বিরুদ্ধেও ভারতের মিডিয়া অপপ্রচার চালাচ্ছে।
