নওগাঁর নিয়ামতপুরে উপজেলা সহকারী কমিশনার (ভূমি) রেজাউল করিমের বাসা লক্ষ্য করে চার রাউন্ড গুলি ছুড়েছে দুর্বৃত্তরা। বুধবার (২৯ জানুয়ারি) রাত সাড়ে ১২টার দিকে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। এসময় এসিল্যান্ড বাসার ভেতরে অবস্থান করছিলেন। তবে অল্পের জন্য তিনি প্রাণে বেঁচে যান।
বৃহস্পতিবার (৩০ জানুয়ারি) দুপুর আড়াইটার দিকে তথ্যটি নিশ্চিত করেন জেলা প্রশাসক মোহাম্মদ আব্দুল আউয়াল। এ বিষয়ে জানতে নিয়ামতপুর উপজেলা সহকারী কমিশনার (ভূমি) রেজাউল করিমের মুঠোফোনে একাধিকবার যোগাযোগের চেষ্টা করলেও তিনি রিসিভ করেননি।
নওগাঁর জেলা প্রশাসক আব্দুল আউয়াল জানান, এসিল্যান্ডের বাসা লক্ষ্য করে ৪ রাউন্ড গুলি ছোড়া হয়েছে। দুর্বৃত্তের ছোড়া গুলি বাসার জানালার গ্লাস ভেদ করে ভেতরে চলে যায়। তবে এতে কোনো হতাহতের ঘটনা ঘটেনি। কে বা কারা এটি ঘটিয়েছে, তা এখনো জানা যায়নি। এ ঘটনায় থানায় মামলার প্রস্তুতি চলছে।
