রাজশাহী মেডিকেল কলেজ (রামেক) হাসপাতালের করোনা ইউনিটে ২৪ ঘণ্টায় আরও ১৪ জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। রবিবার সকাল ৮টা থেকে সোমবার সকাল ৮টা পর্যন্ত সময়ের মধ্যে তারা মারা যান। এ নিয়ে চলতি মাসে রামেক হাসপাতালের করোনা ইউনিটে এ নিয়ে মোট ৩১১ জনের মৃত্যু হলো।
১৯ জুনের পর প্রতি ২৪ ঘণ্টায় ১২ থেকে ১৮ জন পর্যন্ত মারা গেছেন। সর্বশেষ শনিবার থেকে রবিবার পর্যন্ত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় মৃতের সংখ্যা ১০ জনে নেমেছিল। কিন্তু পরের ২৪ ঘণ্টায় মৃত্যু আবার বাড়ল।
হাসপাতালের পরিচালক ব্রিগেডিয়ার জেনারেল শামীম ইয়াজদানী জানান, নতুন করে মারা যাওয়া ১৪ জনের মধ্যে সাতজন করোনা পজিটিভ ছিলেন। অন্য সাতজন মারা গেছেন উপসর্গ নিয়ে।
করোনা পজিটিভ সাতজনের মধ্যে চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জের চারজন ও তিনজন রাজশাহীর বাসিন্দা ছিলেন। উপসর্গ নিয়ে রাজশাহীর আরও চারজন এবং চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ, নাটোর ও নওগাঁর একজন করে মারা গেছেন।
হাসপাতাল পরিচালক শামীম ইয়াজদানী আরও জানান, গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছেন ৭৮ জন। সোমবার সকাল ৮টা পর্যন্ত এ হাসপাতালের করোনা ইউনিটে ভর্তি ছিলেন সর্বোচ্চ ৪৪২ জন। হাসপাতালে মোট করোনা ডেডিকেটেড শয্যার সংখ্যা এখন ৪০৫টি।
