চেক প্রতারণা মামলায় ক্রিকেটার ও মাগুরা-২ আসনের সাবেক সংসদ সদস্য সাকিব আল হাসানসহ চারজনকে আদালতে হাজির হতে সমন জারি করা হয়েছে। বুধবার (১৮ ডিসেম্বর) আদালত সূত্র থেকে এ তথ্য জানা গেছে। মামলার অন্য আসামি হলেন-সাকিব আল হাসান অ্যাগ্রো ফার্ম লিমিটেডের এমডি গাজী শাহাগীর হোসাইন, প্রতিষ্ঠানটির পরিচালক ইমদাদুল হক ও মালাইকা বেগম।
আদালতের তথ্য মতে, গত ১৫ ডিসেম্বর ঢাকার অতিরিক্ত চিফ মেট্রোপলিটন ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট মাহবুবুল হকের আদালতে আইএফআইসি ব্যাংকের পক্ষে শাহিবুর রহমান বাদী হয়ে এ মামলা করেন। আদালত বাদীর জবানবন্দি গ্রহণ করে আগামী ১৮ জানুয়ারি তাদের আদালতে হাজির হওয়ার নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন।
মামলা সূত্রে জানা গেছে, সাকিবের মালিকানাধীন অ্যাগ্রো ফার্ম ব্যবসায়িক উদ্দেশ্যে বিভিন্ন সময় আইএফআইসি ব্যাংকের বনানী শাখা থেকে ঋণ গ্রহণ করে। তার বিপরীতে দুটি চেক ইস্যু করে সাকিবের মালিকানাধীন প্রতিষ্ঠানটি। এরপর চেক দিয়ে টাকা উত্তোলন করতে গেলে পর্যাপ্ত টাকা না থাকায় তা ডিজঅনার হয়। দুই চেকে টাকার পরিমাণ প্রায় চার কোটি ১৫ লাখ।
