চট্টগ্রামে ইসকন সমর্থকদের হামলায় নিহত সাইফুল ইসলাম আলিফের জানাজায় অংশ নিয়েছেন বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলনের আহ্বায়ক হাসনাত আবদুল্লাহ এবং নাগরিক কমিটির সদস্য ও জুলাই শহীদ স্মৃতি ফাউন্ডেশনের সাধারণ সম্পাদক সারজিস আলম।বুধবার (২৭ নভেম্বর) বেলা সাড়ে ১১টার দিকে নগরের জমিয়তুল ফালাহ মসজিদ মাঠে এ নামাজে জানাজা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। দ্বিতীয় দফার জানাজা নামাজে অংশগ্রহণ করেন তারা।
এর আগে সকাল সাড়ে ১০টার দিকে চট্টগ্রাম আদালত ভবন প্রাঙ্গণে আইনজীবী সাইফুল ইসলাম আলিফের প্রথম জানাজা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। এতে অংশ নেন আইনজীবীসহ বিভিন্ন শ্রেণি-পেশার মানুষ। জানাজার আগে সেখানে বক্তব্য রাখেন আইনজীবী নেতারা। তারা সাইফুল হত্যাকাণ্ডে জড়িতদের গ্রেফতার করে আইনের আওতায় আনার দাবি জানান।
