আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক ও সেতুমন্ত্রী ওবায়দুল কাদেরের ছোট ভাই নোয়াখালী বসুরহাট পৌর মেয়র আবদুল কাদের মির্জার গাড়িবহরে হামলার অভিযোগ পাওয়া গেছে।

শপথ নিতে চট্টগ্রাম যাওয়ার পথে বৃহস্পতিবার ভোর সাড়ে ৬টায় দাগনভুঞা জিরো পয়েন্টে দুর্বৃত্তরা তার গাড়িবহরে হামলা করে বলে অভিযোগ করেছেন আবদুল কাদের মির্জা।

এ হামলায় বসুরহাট ওয়ার্ড আওয়ামী লীগ সভাপতি সেলিম (৫০) আহত হয়েছেন বলে জানা গেছে।

কাদের মির্জা সাংবাদিকদের বলেন, শপথ নেয়ার জন্য বৃহস্পতিবার ভোরে চট্টগ্রামে যাওয়ার পথে দাগনভূঞার জিরো পয়েন্টে একদল সংঘবদ্ধ দুর্বৃত্ত আমার গাড়িতে হামলা করে। সামনে একটি ট্রাক থাকায় আমার গাড়িটি পার হয়ে আসলেও পেছনের গাড়িতে দুর্বৃত্তরা ইটপাটকেল লাঠিসোটা নিয়ে হামলা করে এবং ডিম ছোড়ে।

এতে গাড়ির ব্যাপক ক্ষতি হয়। হামলায় বসুরহাটের বিশিষ্ট ব্যবসায়ী ও ওয়ার্ড আওয়ামী লীগ সভাপতি সেলিম আহত হন। দুর্বৃত্তরা আমাকে হত্যা করার উদ্দেশ্যে এ হামলা করেছে বলে আমি মনে করি। তবে তারা যতোই হামলা করুক আমি সত্য কথা বলা থেকে নিবৃত্ত হবো না। আল্লাহর দয়ায় যদি সহিসালামতে শপথ নিতে পারি তবে আইনি পদক্ষেপ নেব।

দাগনভূঞা থানার ওসি ইমতিয়াজ আহমদ জানান, তিনি মৌখিক অভিযোগ পেয়েছেন। ঘটনার সত্যতা পেলে আইনানুগ ব্যবস্থা নেবেন।
