আন্তর্জাতিক অপরাধ ট্রাইব্যুনালের চিফ প্রসিকিউটর মোহাম্মদ তাজুল ইসলাম বলেছেন, ২০২৫ হবে সাবেক প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা ও আওয়ামী লীগ নেতাদের মানবতাবিরোধী অপরাধের বিচারের বছর। নতুন বছরে বিগত ১৬ বছরের অপকর্মের বিচারের কাজ চলবে।বুধবার (১ জানুয়ারি) নতুন বছরের শুভেচ্ছা বিনিময় শেষে গণমাধ্যমকে এ কথা বলেন মোহাম্মদ তাজুল ইসলাম।
চিফ প্রসিকিউটর বলেন, সংস্কার সম্পন্ন হওয়া মূল ভবনে বিচারকাজ শুরু হবে। আওয়ামী লীগ সরকার বিগত যত অপরাধ করেছে তার সব বিচার প্রক্রিয়া এগিয়ে নেওয়া হচ্ছে। জুলাই-আগস্টে সংঘটিত মানবতাবিরোধী অপরাধের তদন্ত চলছে। শেখ হাসিনাকে ফিরিয়ে আনা রাষ্ট্রীয় সিদ্ধান্ত। তবে ট্রাইব্যুনাল বিচারকাজ এগিয়ে নেবে। এসময় প্রসিকিউটর বি এম সুলতান মাহমুদ ও আবদুল্লাহ আল নোমান উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
