বাস-ট্রাকের জ্বালানি ডিজেলের দাম ১৫ টাকা বাড়ানোর পর কিলোমিটার প্রতি বাস ও ট্রাকের ভাড়া বাড়াতে বৈঠকে বসেছে নিয়ন্ত্রক সংস্থা বাংলাদেশ রোড ট্রান্সপোর্ট অথরিটি (বিআরটিএ) এবং মালিকরা।

রোববার (১৯ এপ্রিল) সন্ধ্যা ৭টা ২০ মিনিটে বনানীতে বিআরটিএর সদর কার্যালয়ে এই বৈঠক শুরু হয়।

বৈঠক সূত্রে জানা যায়, সরকারের লিটার প্রতি ডিজেলের মূল্য বৃদ্ধি করার পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে ঢাকাসহ সারা দেশের ডিজেল চালিত বাস-মিনিবাসের ভাড়া পুনর্নির্ধারণের জন্য যাত্রীবাহী মোটরযানের ভাড়া পুনর্নির্ধারণ কমিটির সভা চলছে।

সভায় মালিক সমিতির পক্ষ থেকে ভাড়া প্রস্তাব করা হবে। তারপর সেটি বিশ্লেষণ করা হবে।

সভায় সভাপতিত্ব করছেন বিআরটিএর চেয়ারম্যান মীর আহমেদ তারিকুল ওমর। এছাড়া আরও উপস্থিত আছেন সড়ক পরিবহন মালিক সমিতির সভাপতি ও সাধারণ সম্পাদক, বাংলাদেশ বাস-ট্রাক ওনার্স অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের সভাপতিসহ সংশ্লিষ্টরা।
