সারাদেশে গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় হামে আক্রান্ত ও হামের উপসর্গ নিয়ে আরও আটজন মারা গেছেন। তাদের মধ্যে দুজন হাম আক্রান্ত হয়েই মারা গেছেন বলে নিশ্চিত করেছে স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তর। বাকি ছয়জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে হামের উপসর্গ নিয়ে।
বৃহস্পতিবার (১৬ এপ্রিল) দুপুরে স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের হেলথ ইমার্জেন্সি অপারেশন সেন্টার ও কন্ট্রোল রুম থেকে এ তথ্য জানানো হয়েছে।
স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের তথ্য অনুযায়ী, গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় হাম ও হাম সন্দেহে আটজনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। এছাড়া ১৫ মার্চের পর থেকে এ পর্যন্ত হামে ৩৪ জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। একই সময়ে সন্দেহভাজন হামজনিত মৃত্যুর সংখ্যা ১৭২ জন।
১৫ মার্চের পর থেকে এ পর্যন্ত নিশ্চিত হামে আক্রান্ত হয়েছে তিন হাজার ৬৫ জন। একই সময়ে সন্দেহভাজন হামে আক্রান্তের সংখ্যা ২০ হাজার ৩৫২ জন।
এ পর্যন্ত হাম সন্দেহে হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছেন ১৩ হাজার ১২৯ জন এবং হাসপাতাল থেকে ছাড়া পেয়েছেন ১০ হাজার ৪৯৬ জন।
