বিএনপি মহাসচিব মির্জা ফখরুল ইসলাম আলমগীর বলেছেন, ২০২৬ সালের ১২ ফেব্রুয়ারি যে নির্বাচন অনুষ্ঠিত হবে, সেই নির্বাচনে বিএনপির ভারপ্রাপ্ত চেয়ারম্যান তারেক রহমানের নেতৃত্বে আমরা জয়ী হবো।
বৃহস্পতিবার (২৫ ডিসেম্বর) রাজধানীর পূর্বাচলে আয়োজিত গণসংবর্ধনাস্থলে তারেক রহমানকে বহনকারী গাড়িবহর পৌঁছানোর পর বিএনপি মহাসচিব এই বক্তব্য দেন।
দীর্ঘ প্রতীক্ষার পর তারেক রহমান গণসংবর্ধনা মঞ্চে এসে পৌঁছালে নেতাকর্মী ও উৎসুক জনতার স্লোগানে স্লোগানে মুখর হয়ে ওঠে পূর্বাচলের ৩০০ ফিট ও আশপাশের এলাকা। চারদিকে সৃষ্টি হয় তুমুল উচ্ছ্বাস। মঞ্চে উঠেই হাত নেড়ে উপস্থিত জনতা ও সমর্থকদের ভালোবাসা ও শুভেচ্ছার জবাব দেন বিএনপির ভারপ্রাপ্ত চেয়ারম্যান।
মির্জা ফখরুল বিগত আন্দোলনের স্মৃতিচারণা করে বলেন, ‘২০২৪ সালের ৫ আগস্ট তারেক রহমানের নেতৃত্বে আমরা ফ্যাসিস্ট বিদায় করেছি। তারেক রহমানের নেতৃত্বে আমরা একটি কঠিন পথ পাড়ি দিয়েছি। ইনশাআল্লাহ, ২০২৬ সালে তারই নেতৃত্বে আমরা আবারও জয়ী হবো।’
