শনিবার সকাল ৮টা থেকে রোববার সকাল ৮টা পর্যন্ত (একদিনে) ডেঙ্গু আক্রান্ত হয়ে নতুন করে ৯ জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। এ নিয়ে চলতি বছর ডেঙ্গুতে মৃতের সংখ্যা বেড়ে ২১২ জনে দাঁড়িয়েছে।
এই ২৪ ঘণ্টায় নতুন করে আরও ১ হাজার ৪২ জন ডেঙ্গুরোগী হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছেন। রোববার (৫ অক্টোবর) স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের হেলথ ইমার্জেন্সি অপারেশন সেন্টার ও কন্ট্রোল রুম থেকে পাঠানো সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে এসব তথ্য জানানো হয়।
স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তর জানায়, গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় ডেঙ্গু আক্রান্ত হয়ে ঢাকাসহ দেশের বিভিন্ন হাসপাতালে ১০৪২ জন ভর্তি হয়েছেন। এর মধ্যে বরিশাল বিভাগে ১৯৫ জন, চট্টগ্রাম বিভাগে ১০৪ জন, ঢাকা বিভাগে (সিটি করপোরেশনের বাইরে) ২০১ জন, ঢাকা উত্তর সিটিতে ১৯৮ জন, ঢাকা দক্ষিণ সিটিতে ১২১ জন, খুলনা বিভাগে ৭২ জন, ময়মনসিংহ বিভাগে ৪১ জন, রাজশাহী বিভাগে ৮২ জন, রংপুর বিভাগে ২৩ জন ও সিলেট বিভাগে ৫ জন ভর্তি হয়েছেন।
এ বছরের জানুয়ারি থেকে এখন পর্যন্ত সবমিলিয়ে ৪৯ হাজার ৯০৭ জন রোগী হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছেন। এদিকে গত একদিনে সারা দেশে ৮৯৮ জন ডেঙ্গু রোগী হাসপাতাল থেকে ছাড়পত্র পেয়েছেন। এ নিয়ে চলতি বছর ছাড়পত্র পেয়েছেন ৪৭ হাজার ২৫৬ জন।
